If you’ve worked with me or seen some of my content, you know that if I had one goal for my clients it would be the ability to increase and manage their energy. After all, it does impact everything you do and how you show up on a day to day basis. I do believe it naturally ebbs and flows (we are human), but there are many steps you can take to feel more empowered and in control of your energy. Focusing on this on a day to day basis can also help improve long term mental health, physical health, and vitality. It has been a journey for me to really find habits, products, foods, and more that can help in this area. So I bring you my 3 affiliate products that I have used and researched before becoming an affiliate- Generation UCAN, Athletic Greens and Four Sigmatic. These all can impact your energy in different ways, and I want to bring you both research and my own anecdotal evidence from using these products.
Generation UCAN
Historically, this has been one of my favorite supplements to talk about. The first and foundational lesson I usually talk about with clients is how to stabilize blood sugar for steady energy, and this is a supplement that can help with this. I like to think of this in the same class as a protein powder, but a carbohydrate. This is a superstarch that is steadily released into your bloodstream overtime, giving you stable energy. This is especially helpful during endurance workouts, but also can be helpful for strength or simply long days at work. They have powders and gels that I like before a workout, and bars more for snacks at work. If you take a look at their site, they dive more into the science and research surrounding this product. For me, I absolutely loved the effect of UCAN and could feel the difference. This was especially true for workouts, where I experienced more of a steady, sustained energy than a burst of energy from a typical pre-workout. I also write this a few days away from my first triathlon, so the gel packs should be arriving shortly! These are actually fairly new, and I used to have my clients make their own gels from the powders.
Athletic Greens (or AG1)
This one I first heard about on a podcast, and now that I think about it I hear about it on all of my favorite podcasts now. Greens powders are something that clients ask me about a lot, but there are very few I would recommend and trust. I go in depth with this product in this product review, where I actually wrote the review before I tried it. Although this has many benefits as explained in the article, I use this personally for the prebiotics and adaptogens. The prebiotics can really support gut health and an abundant microbiome, which is a necessity for appropriate energy. The adaptogens can really help with recovery and the stress response. When I used this, I could really tell that this increased my energy on a cellular level, and it is something I will continue to recommend to clients.
Four Sigmatic
This is another I kept hearing about, researched, finally tried, and loved. There are numerous products (I have a separate article describing all of them), but specifically for energy and cognition, I love the “Think” coffee. Think contains Lion’s mane and Chaga mushrooms, aimed to support brainpower and eliminate the midday slump. After trying it, I can definitely attest to that. I always encourage clients to try it out and see how it does affect their cognition and productivity as opposed to matcha to find what works best for them. Definitely worth a try for all you coffee lovers!
Putting It All Together
Since each company does have many products (Athletic Greens I believe will come out with more), I do recommend that you consult me to see which products are best for you. I have personally tried most of them. With the links in the first paragraph, you can receive 10% off UCAN and Four Sigmatic and free travel packs with a monthly subscription of Athletic Greens. Energy impacts everything you do, and these are some of the top products for energy.
